Joshua started with 14k cm of wire and had 4cm left. This means he used (14k - 4) cm of wire to form the triangle. An equililateral triangle has 3 equal sides. So each side was (14k - 4)/3 cm. We can simplify this to equal (4 & 2/3)k - 1 & 1/3 cm
