why is this wrong :

In log 8x^2, the “square” belongs to x only.
Had it been log (8x)^2, we could have written the result as 2 log 8x.

thanks :) by the way how does polar covalent bond work? i dont understand when is a covalent compound considered a polar molecule or non polar molecule (dont understand the whole dipole thing too)
also does polar covalent bond exist as long as the compound consist of 2 different non metal elements, like they dont have to be far apart?
