Remember the expansion of (a - b)^2, and that is what the numerator is. Change the numerator into the form (a-b)^2. As for your denominator, recall the expansion of (a^2 - b^2).

You will realise that the numerator and denominator have a common factor, but the terms are switched. You can fix this by multiplying both sides by a negative sign.
