a)1036
b) 40km/h

I use SPEED = DISTANCE/TIME

Speed
Car : lorry = 5 : 4
When they met at middle, mean the distance travelled is the same.

Lorry, distance traveled = 4u×3 = 12u

Car, distance= 12u
Time = 12u ÷ 5u = 2.4h = 2hour 24mins
So, Car start time
= 1300-2h24m
= 1036 hr

b) Distance traveled = 240/2 = 120km
12u → 120
1u → 10
Speed = 4u = 4×10 = 40km/h
