Thank for helping me . Thank for your straightforward explaination each time.
Welcome
Thank Teacher AC Lim. Very late already. Tomorrow then I go thru with my girl again. She will understand better than me ahha. If any questions, will ask u here again. Thank for your help again. Cheers and night night
Cheer and good night!
b) can use guess and check method... But assumption method is much easier if she can understand.
Thank Teacher AC Lim, she managed to do it using assumptions method. Thank for helping.
For (a) we don't know why need to put the top the same. Reasoning.
For equal number of chocolate and vanilla bun sold..
Uploaded a model for your reference. Hope it helps.
Ok thanks. So when equal , have amount of item, must change the top the same righy .
Thank U so helping
Yes. If draw model, we divide to smaller unit as taught in school. :)
Ok sure. Think I understood now. Thank for helping . Yhe model is clear and more easy to understand. Thank

Model looks easier ya. Thks
Yes.
Can u help me in one more question explanation. Any easier way to do this question ?
The first 5 terms of a number sequence is as follows
12, 15, 18, 21, 24, ...
Find the value of the 100th term.
The first 5 terms of a number sequence is as follows
12, 15, 18, 21, 24, ...
Find the value of the 100th term.
I asked but none can explained well to me ya
As you can see here every term increased 3.
So,
1×3 +9 = 12
2×3 +9 = 15
3×3 +9 = 18
4×3 +9 = 21
Tn×3 +9 = 3n +9
Term 100 = 100×3 +9 = 309
So,
1×3 +9 = 12
2×3 +9 = 15
3×3 +9 = 18
4×3 +9 = 21
Tn×3 +9 = 3n +9
Term 100 = 100×3 +9 = 309
But how to get +9 leh. Have to guess ?
OK.
As every terms +3
So we knew that next term is ×3
Then we check the 1st term and 2nd term normally....
1st term = 12
1×3 = 3 (we need to +9) to get 12.
So try term 2 =15 and so on...
2×3 = 6 ( need+9 ) = 15..

Oh I see . This explanation sound logic and easier to remember.. . So it works on other pattern too ?
Can u give a sample for my girl to try again and see she know how to do not. Thanks

1, 4, 9, 16, 25, ?
This one is totally difference approach to solve, but typical PSLE question.
This one is totally difference approach to solve, but typical PSLE question.
Use square numbers to solve.
6×6 = 36
6×6 = 36
Yes. Good.
If you use +3, +5, +7 , +9, +11 also can.
25+11 = 36
But if question ask to find term 30 then gg Liao.
So, use 30×30 = 900 will be the best solution.
Need to remember this 1,4,9,16,25 is
Term × term

Okok sure. Thank for your guide . Hope. Sometime she may get wrong too. So worry for her psle. She scored so badly for her ca1. Almost failed. So scary. So lost
She told me using term x term is easier for her ya
