cannot use volume of box divide by volume of cube to solve such questions.

have to find how many cubes can be placed in each of the length, width and height direction of the box.

along length ...
23 / 2 = 11.5, so at most can place 11 cubes.
the remaining 1 cm length cannot be used because cannot cut the cubes.

along width ...
4 / 2 = 2, so can place 2 cubes exactly.

along height ...
5 / 2 = 2.5, so at most can place 2 cubes.
the remaining 1 cm height cannot be used.

total cubes = 11 x 2 x 2 = 44 cubes.
