Let number of chips = x and
Number of chocolates= y

x + y = 30
y = 30 - x → ①

Amount
3x + 2.5y ≤ 85 → ②

Substitute ① into ②
3x + 2.5(30-x) ≤ 85
3x + 75 - 2.5x ≤ 85
0.5x ≤ 10
x ≤ 20

Maximum number of chips that she can buy is 20
