Why is ans b??
A current passes through a resistor/load and then faces an reversed biased.
Did a current actually pass through the resistor, or not?
Assuming that the current attempts to flow from positive to the negative terminal.
I mean, take for example, if you were to break a circuit containing a lamp in series, there will be no current flowing through the circuit - even through a lamp. This, however, does not mean that the circuit is not “live”.
Although the circuit has no current flowing through it for now, it is still at a potential. Supposing we touch the circuit, we will be electrocuted because now a complete circuit can be formed (through our body towards earth) and current will be formed.
So for this circuit, the current will not be able to run a complete path because it has to “turn back” the moment it meets the wrong end of the diode.
