this question is uploaded only with a diagram with no description, so it is not clear exactly what the question is all about!

looking at the diagram, am guessing that this question is the puzzle where a rectangle is subdivided into squares of various sizes, and the puzzle is to work out the size of each square. only the size of the smallest square is given.

let the size of the 2nd smallest square be x.
by comparing square to square, we write out the length of side of all the other squares.

for the last square, we can write out its length in 2 different ways. by doing so, we form an equation in x and solve for x.

once x is found, can work out the size of each square, and the dimensions and area of the overall figure.

(note : in some puzzle books, this type of puzzle is known as "squaring the rectangle".)
