A positive tangent value of sqrt 3 indicates that angle θ can lie either in the first quadrant or the third quadrant. Do you know which quadrant is which?

For the first quadrant, θ takes the value equal to the reference angle itself. So, θ = 60° (in degrees) or π/3 (in radians).

The relevant conversion of degrees and radians is 360° <===> 2π radians or simply 180° <===> π radians.

For the third quadrant, θ takes the value equal to the reference angle itself plus another 180° (or π radians). So, θ = 240° (in degrees) or 4π/3 (in radians).
