Let length of one side of the cube be x cm.
x³ ≈ 96
To find least possible length of one side of the cube, we must take the least possible volume of the cube, which means the 96cm³ must have been rounded up as much as possible. Thus, the least possible volume of cube is 95.5cm³. So:
x³ ≥ 95.5
x ≥ ³√95.5
x ≥ 4.57 (2 d.p)
