13 units seem to be made up of boys and men, but you can’t divide 13 units into the ratio 7 : 3.

You need to redefine the fraction 7/20 into 70/200 and the ratio 7 : 3 into 91 : 39 to solve this.

In other words, we are trying to make 13 and 10 equal, so we multiply the numerator and denominator of the fraction by 10 while we multiply the numbers on both sides of the ratio by 13.

So, there are 200 units of people intbe auditorium.
==> 70 units are girls and women in total, 130 units are boys and men in total
==> 91 units are boys, 39 units are men
==> 14 units are girls, 56 units are women

I will let you proceed on your own thereafter.
