Can just
½ × 4.75 = 2.375 ℓ
2.735 ℓ ÷ ½ ℓ = 4.75

Ans: 4
(b)
½ × ¾ = ⅜ ℓ = 0.375 ℓ
2.375 ℓ + 0.375ℓ = 2.75 ℓ (Ans)
or
4.75 ℓ - 4×½ ℓ = 2.75 ℓ (Ans)

Thank you Saurabh for spotting the mistake.
Half of it = 2+(3/8)
Of we pour to 1/2 liter cups then we can pour to 4 cups which comes from 2/(1/2)
So there are 4 friends and 2+3/8+3/8 = 2+6/8 juice is left.
