First you need to find out the fraction between girls and boys out of the total number of children. You are right in putting girls as 2 and boys as 1. However you need to further express this as a fraction. So in terms of fraction, 2/3 is girls and denominator is found by adding 2(girls) to 1(boys). At the same time, boys will be 1/3.

Thus, when you multiply 1/6 to 2/3 you will get your answer as 2/18 and further simplify it as 1/9.
