6x - 9 = 7x - 4
7x - 6x = 4 - 9
x = -5 (Ans)

how did -x became a +x?
Multiply both side with -1
-1 (-x) = x
-1 (5) = -5
-1 (-x) = x
-1 (5) = -5
Or -x = 5 move x to right hand side
0 = x +5
-5 = x
So x = -5
0 = x +5
-5 = x
So x = -5
