(b)
square at both sides

- 2 ∙ cos(x) ∙ sin(x) + cos²x + sin²x = 2
cos(x) ∙ sin(x) = -½

square at both sides
cos²x ∙ sin²x = ¼

(1 - sin²x) ∙ sin²x = ¼

sin²x = a
(1 - a) ∙ a = ¼

4a² - 4a + 1 = 0
(2a-1)² = 0
a = ½ = sin²x

sin(x) = ±√½

x₁ = 45°  ✗✗
x₂ = 315° ✓✓
