Inverse of natural logarithm on both sides, hence 5 - x = e^x
Add the line y = 5 - x

in essence a suitable straight line requires you to manipulate the equation to get an equation of a straight line

Thank you for answering me! However I am still confused about why we need to add straight line y=x+5 instead of other lines?

because by manipulating the equation, you are able to get a much simpler line to draw. drawing an exact logarithmic graph isnt as easy as drawing a straight line graph!
