(a) The tangent to a circle and the diameter of the circle will form a right angle. Since the other 2 angles of triangle QTR is 97degrees, then angle TQR is not a right angle. Thus QT cannot be diameter.

(b) Angle QUS is equal to angle QTS. This is from the property that angles in the same segment of a circle are equal.
