x = - 11/14

10a - 5b = 21a + 9b
'bring over' the 10a to the right and 9b to the left side (changing the sign as well)

Divide both sides by a,

Divide both sides by -14,
b/a = 11/-14 = - 11/14
10a - 5b = 21a + 9b
