Hi Tutor, the topic is about estimation but didn't give the instruction of rounding to tens/hundred/ thousands place. How should I deal about these type of questions ? Thank you!

It does actually depend on whether it’s tens or hundreds or thousands.
But normally, we estimate to get a rough value - a value which we can calculate easily.
For example, 2997 + 4022 is close to 3000 + 4000 and of course 3000 + 4000 is easy to calculate in the head.
