You can think of it this way.

_____ rows of 98 seats and 156 rows of 98 seats make 790 rows of 98 seats.

Basically, considering the rows,

_____ rows + 156 rows = 790 rows

We get 790 - 156 = 634 rows.

As for the other question, 50 tens is basically 500, which is of course 79 500 less than 80 000.

50 tens means 50 of those 10, so 50 x 10 or 500.

You wrote 5 000, which is incorrect. We call 5 000 either five thousand or fifty hundreds.

(Some countries call numbers like 5500 fifty-five hundred)
