An observer wishes to determine the height of a tower. He takes sights at the top of the tower from A to B, which are 50 feet apart, at the same elevation on a direct line with the tower. The Vertical angle at point A is 30degrees and at point B is 40 degrees. What is the height of the tower?


A wire supporting a pole is fastened to it 20 feet from the ground and to the ground 15 feet from the pole. Determine the length of the wire and the angle it makes with respect to the pole.
