The main idea is to realise that N > N - 1 > N - 2, but this results in a reversed order for their reciprocals ie 1/N < 1/(N - 1) < 1/ (N - 2).

You need this to do the logical break-up of terms later on, along with realising that the bottom of the summation is now n = 1 instead of n = 3.
