The greater the difference in reactivity of the metals, the greater the magnitude of the voltage reading.

Changing copper electrode to iron electrode will cause the voltage reading to drop because zinc is actually closer to iron than copper.

Changing sodium chloride solution to sugar solution stops the track of the experiment (i.e. voltage goes to zero) since no current can even pass through the solution.

Changing zinc electrode to magnesium electrode will cause the voltage reading to increase, since copper is further away from magnesium than zinc.

You must always refer to reactivity series table for such questions. the bigger the difference in reactivity, the stronger the chemical reaction and thus, the voltage etc.
