For such questions, we usually make one side appear like the equation of the given curve. The other side is usually a line, and it’s the line which we need.

The reason for this is because lines are easy to draw and are fairly accurate when drawn with a ruler.

This idea is common in O Level Mathematics and O Level Additional Mathematics.
