As you know the ratio of money is 3:5:7 , with moe having 4 units (7-3) more money than Larry . As the questions also gives that moe has $36 more money than Larry . You can conclude that 4 units —> $38 and thus 1 unit —> $9.50. With this the total amount of money between them is 15 units (7+5+3) which will be 15x9.50 = 142.50
7u-3u=4u 4u=38 1u=38÷4=9.50 15u=9.5×15=142.50 so the answer is $142.50
