Two possible ways. There might be more.
For the blue-lined one, each triangle has a base and height of 3 units and 2 units respectively. Area = ½ × 3 units × 2 units = 3 units²
For the pink lined one, the three triangles on the bottom have base 2 units and height 3 units. They take up half the big triangle. The other half is divided into 3 smaller triangles on top, with equal height and base. Their base is the diagonal of a 2 unit by 1 unit rectangle.
