LCM (3,4) → 12

At first
C:S = 12u+256 : 12u

left
C → 1 - ¼ = ¾
S → 1 - ⅔ = ⅓

C:S : C-S = 9u+192 : 4u : 5u+192

C-S = 5u+192 = 377
u = (377-192)÷5 = 37

(a)
12u+256 = 12×37+256 = 700 (Ans)

(b)
⅔ × 12u × $1.30
= 8×37 × $1.30
= $384.80 (Ans)
