Pythagoras theorem is not accepted as answer . Any other methods to solve without using pythagoras ?

(4-3)² = 1 cm ² (Ans)

(b)
2×3×4 +1 = 25 = 5²
Ans: 5cm (Ans)

【no need Pythagoras theorem】

This is not Pythagoras Theorem.
It is finding the square root of the area of the big square. (Learnt in P4)
