and y number of $5 notes
According to given information
0.6x = 1/2y
y = 1.2x (1)
Also,
Total notes = 2090
x + y = 2090
x + 1.2x = 2090 [using (1)]
x = 2090/2.2
x = 950
Put in (1)
y = 1.2(9.50)
y = 1140
Hence, Total 1140 notes of $5
Value of $5 notes = $5 * 1140
= 5700
Hence, value of $5 notes is $5700
and y number of $5 notes
According to given information
