I cannot understand, teacher. Why use 2910-970 and the amount 1940 is 4/7?
In the end,
Bill have 3u
Gillian have 2u
Gillian give ⅓ to Bill and left with 2u, hence Gillian gave 1u to Bill.
Before Bill received 1u from Gillian,
He have 2u, same as 2910-970 = 1940
This 1940 is after Bill gave to Gillian 3/7.
So, 4/7 = 1940.
Bill have 3u
Gillian have 2u
Gillian give ⅓ to Bill and left with 2u, hence Gillian gave 1u to Bill.
Before Bill received 1u from Gillian,
He have 2u, same as 2910-970 = 1940
This 1940 is after Bill gave to Gillian 3/7.
So, 4/7 = 1940.
