2500cm ÷ 110cm = 22 R 80cm
Jess can cut at most 22 pieces of 110cm-long ribbon from 1 roll. There is 80cm of ribbon left over which cannot be used to form a new piece.
Since she needs 200 pieces,
200 ÷ 22 = 9 R 2
9 rolls of ribbon are not enough. There are 2 more pieces of ribbon to be cut.
(Those 80cm pieces that were left over from each roll cannot be joined to form a 110-cm long piece)
She will need a 10th roll to cut out that 2 pieces.
Number of rolls she needs to buy = 9 + 1 = 10
