Hi appreciate the reply, but i still dont understand for part i) how u derive the n-k on the numerator

Hi, when u have [n(n-1)...(n-k+1)(n-k)] / [n(n-1)...(n-k+1)], you will realise that everything cancels out, leaving (n-k) on the numerator
