Alternative to Caleb's method :

Draw a diagonal and you'll realise it's made up of two identical triangles, each with base 30cm and height 14cm

Area of the two triangles

= 2 × ½ × base × height
= 1 × 30cm × 14cm
= 420cm²

The area of any parallelogram or rhombus is always equal to its length × perpendicular height,

which is the same as the area of a rectangle with the same length and breadth the same as that height.
