(a) area of ▢ ABCD
12×6 = 72 cm² (Ans)

(b) area of shaded part
unshaded parts = shaded square = ½ ▢ ABCD

shaded parts
= circle - unshaded parts
= circle - ½ ▢ ABCD
= 3.14×6² - 0.5×72
= 77.04 cm² (Ans)

The part on EFGH is half of ABCD
If you don't understand . Imagine u fold AEH triangle in . U will get EH+centre . So is halved .
