I am puzzled by this question. I have derived answers for the 3 parts as :
Part (a) : 64 cubic cm
Part (b) : 896 divided by 64 should give me 14 cubes but the figure shown reflected 15 cubes. Do u think my answer is correct ?
Part (c) : answer is P

Oh, why didn't I think of that! There should be 8 cubes on the base instead of 9 cubes. That explain why the total no. of cubes Bala use is 14 ! And that explain your advised answer of R.
