If she adds 22.5 and gets 11 times of the number, it means she's adding 10 times of the number to the original number itself.
22.5 = 10 times of the number
The Number = 22.5 ÷ 10 = 2.25 (recall that the shortcut to dividing by 10 is to shift the decimal place once, to the left)
