1/3 × (5²)²ˣ / (2⁵)ˣ × (2²)⁵ˣ / (5³)³ˣ = 2² / (3 × 5²)
Multiply both sides by 3,
5⁴ˣ / 2⁵ˣ × 2¹⁰ˣ / 5⁹ˣ = 2² / 5²
2¹⁰ˣ⁻⁵ˣ / 5⁹ˣ⁻⁴ˣ = 2² / 5²
2⁵ˣ / 5⁵ˣ = 2² / 5²
(2/5)⁵ˣ = (2/5)²
Comparing the powers,
5x = 2
x = 5/2 (or 2½)
Multiply both sides by 3,
5⁴ˣ / 2⁵ˣ × 2¹⁰ˣ / 5⁹ˣ = 2² / 5²
2¹⁰ˣ⁻⁵ˣ / 5⁹ˣ⁻⁴ˣ = 2² / 5²
2⁵ˣ / 5⁵ˣ = 2² / 5²
(2/5)⁵ˣ = (2/5)²
Comparing the powers,
5x = 2
