May I ask how 24 and 42 is derived I’m kinda confused
Ahh so basically they said that difference b/w tens and ones place is 2
So it could be that either the tens place is bigger than the ones place by 2
Or that the ones place is bigger than the tens place by 2
So it could be that either the tens place is bigger than the ones place by 2
Or that the ones place is bigger than the tens place by 2

So in this case I separated into two scenarios, one which O is bigger than T by 2, and T is bigger by O than 2. Then I used simul eqn with O+T=6
And then received the results for each scenario and followed the question's instructions which was "digit in tens place X 10 + ones digit"
