I need help on this qns pls.
The two triangles have equal base length (since BE = EC)
They also have the same perpendicular (90°) height, AB.
(Remember that the triangle's height has to be perpendicular to its base.
A triangle's area is basically half the area of a rectangle whose length and breadth are equal to that triangle's base and height respectively (sometimes its the height and base, depending on which one is your reference)
So they have the same area
Area of △AEB
= ½ × BE × AB
= ½ × EC × AB
= Area of △ AEC

Area AEC = ½ × EC × AB
Area AEB = ½ × EB × AB and EB = EC,
So = ½ × EC(=EB) × AB
