Hi can someone explain to me why line ST and QP is parallel to each other? The answer sheet uses them for alternate angles and idk why

It would be great if you could show the question. And they are not parallel. You may be confused with alternate segment theorem

I don’t think they are supposed to be parallel. It only needs to be parallel for alternate angles (which makes a Z shape)

For (ii), recall one of the properties of circle ... "angle in a semi-circle is 90degree", From (i) we know angle TSR is 90deg,

If a circle is drawn with S, T and R on the circumference, then TR must be the diameter of that circle and the midpoint of TR is the centre of the circle
