H + M = 42
Cost of 42 Hamburgers and muffins:
H*4 + M*2 = 120
4H + 2M = 120
4 ( 42-M) + 2M = 120
168 - 4M + 2M = 120
168 - 2M = 120
2M = 168 - 120 = 48
M = 48/2 = 24
H = 42 - 24 = 18
Total Hamburgers he bought is 18
18 + 24 = 42
18*4 + 24*2 = 72 + 48 = 120
