Ahmed, Tim and Craig had 660 marbles
A + T + C = 660

Ahmed gave 1/3 of his to Tim
T = T + A/3

Ahmed gave 1/4 of his to Craig
C = C + A/4

So now, Ahmed has
A = A - A/3 - A/4 = 5A/12

After that, all three had same no. of marbles
T + A/3 = C + A/4 = 5A/12

C+A/4 = 5A/12
C=A/6

T + A/3 = 5A/12
T=A/12

Hence, now
A+A/12+A/6 = 660

15A/12=660
A=660*12/15
A=528

T=528/12=44
C=528/6=88

Hence, Craig had 88 marbles in the beginning.

T+C+A=660
44+88+528 = 660

A/3 = 528/3 = 176
A/4 = 528/4 = 132

T+A/3 = C+A/4 = A-A/3 - A/4
44 + 176 = 88 + 132 = 528 - 176 - 132
220 = 220 = 220

Hello I know this is a tricky question, but it is important to realise that:
1) Total, after Ahmad gives the marbles, will still remain 660
2) You need to find out that 5/12 of marbles Ahmad has left = same amount as both Craig and Tim = 220
