hi please help! i’m stuck for part a) and i’m confused about the shape of the graph for part b)

You were close!
(a) u need to spot the possible substitution provided by the qn. Since they referred to a single particular value of t, u can take the variable t as some constant in this case.
(b) Don't be intimidated or mislead by axes that look a little different! Notice how the eqn u got bears an uncanny resemblance to the standard y=x^2? Its simply a quadratic curve with differently labelled axes :)
