Remember that not everyone on this forum has access to the “Science” tagging on the subject. Most of the users here only has access to “Maths” for the primary level. Only some users (forgot who, but I think it’s those who have taken a tutor from the agency) have access to “Science” and “English”.

It depends on which leaf is being put in the dark previously. For the leaf that was put in the dark, iodine remains brown. For the leaf that was not put in the dark, blue-black is observed. The leaf which you observed blue-black contains starch.
Also, for your information: The purpose of putting the leaves in warm alcohol is to remove the chlorophyll (the green pigment), so that the colours change can be observed clearly.
