Your answer is correct:
Firstly, given equation is a hint:
It's given in terms of Y instead of X.
Integrating in terms of Y,
Is finding the area bounding under the curve,
Towards Y axis**,
(Draw the horizontal arrow towards Y axis)
And the length you finding is from 1 to 4,
Which gives you the area of the shaded figure.

Assuming ur calculations are correct,
The workings remain the same.
The shaded area is bounded by the Curve To y-axis, and there is no additional nor deduction of any shaded region.
Either the shaded region may have a mistake or the solution may be wrong.
Ur solution: 9units^2 should not be wrong
