Slightly alternative working :
3²⁵ - 3²⁴ = 2 × 3ᵖ⁺¹
(3²)(3²³) - 3(3²³) = 2 × 3 × 3ᵖ
9(3²³) - 3(3²³) = 6(3ᵖ)
6(3²³) = 6(3ᵖ)
Comparing both sides,
p = 23
3²⁵ - 3²⁴ = 2 × 3ᵖ⁺¹
