By comparing to part (i), you would notice that the y = (x+1).
Hence, you don’t have to factorise and repeat the previous steps. Simply equating the roots of y to x+1.
Hence,
1st y = -1.5 = x+1
Therefore, 1st x = -2.5
2nd y = 7 = x+1
Therefore, 2nd x = 6
