Here's a useful tip to remember :
Area of square = ½ × diagonal²
(or ½ × diagonal × diagonal)
So ½ × diagonal × diagonal = 18 cm²
diagonal × diagonal = 18 cm² × 2 = 36 cm²
diagonal = √36 cm = 6 cm
The diagonal here = diameter of circle.
So radius = 6 cm ÷ 2
= 3 cm
Area of square = ½ × diagonal²
