Ratio of men to boys to all the males
= 3 : 1 : 4

Make the units the same for males for both ratios.

Common multiple of 4 and 5 is 20

Males : Females
= 5 : 3
= 20 : 12 (after multiplying by 4)

Ratio of men to boys to all the males
= 3 : 1 : 4
= 15 : 5 : 20 (after multiplying by 5)

Make the units the same for females for both ratios.

Ratio of women to girls to all the females
= 2 : 1 : 3
= 8 : 4 : 12

Difference in boys and girls

= 5 units - 4 units
= 1 unit

So 1 unit = 18

Total participants = all females + all males

= 12 units + 20 units
= 32 units

= 32 × 18
= 576
